About Veronika
Veronika is a thirty-something gal, living in a charming ocean-side town with her husband, Martin, and their adorable Eskipoo dog Scout. By day she works as an entrepreneur, graphic artist & photographer, plus runs her online shop. She grew up in the Czech Republic and moved to Vancouver, BC with her parents when she was 7. She then went onto study acting and fine arts, where she met her husband Martin, who still actively works in the film industry today.
Veronika worked as a film & theater actress throughout her twenties. Until she finally settled on starting her own business a few years ago and received her degree in Business Administration. Life as a business owner has been an amazing adventure and creating projects she's passionate about is what keeps her going!
Most days you'll find Veronika spending time with friends & family, crafting DIY projects for the home, going on hikes, dreaming up photo-shoots, making jewelry for her shop, or hosting a fun girls night. Above all, Veronika believes in encouraging and empowering women through their own creative lives, and is happy to be a cheerleader for the people close to her as well as her blog readers!
The Blog
Started in the spring of 2013, By The Shore is a place for Veronika to share her greatest passions, which include: fashion, home decor, beauty, healthy living recipes, business advice and share creative enthusiasm with like minded gals! Veronika has had the opportunity to work with amazing brands, travel for conferences and meet so many of her favourite bloggers face-to-face! Recently she also started a YouTube Chanel which she's very much eager to grow and turn into an amazing resource and extension of By The Shore!
When it comes to blogging? Veronika never stops dreaming, she feels spell bound by the blogging community and loves surrounding herself with creatives that are equally charged and passionate about what they do. The Shop
Aside, from blogging Veronika also runs a graphic design shop and a jewelry/accessories shop, xo veronika! The shop excitedly opened it's virtual doors in the spring of 2014 and serves as a one stop shop for all of Veronika's favourite things. There you'll find handmade pieces from Veronika herself as well as curated pieces from her favourite designers, adorable bags, leg-wear and scarves... the shop will also be debuting home accessories and stationary later this year.
